I added a few new web parts that said were installed successfully, they didn't show up on the site, went into Central Admin and there are errors for 2 of them that were msi files and 1 said "Not depoyed", that was a .wsp file.
any ideas?

I already stop, removed and deleted the solution from the server and tried to re-distribute it. Same error, might be that my server is messed up. It's running on a VM that I setup a while back.
Mine are all on VMware servers as well. Did you use the deploy command?

In Solution Management you should be able to click on the solution that does not deploy to get detailed error messages. If you cannot do that you should check the error logs, located in [12]\Logs right after you have tried to deploy the solution and look for relevant error messages.
